John C. Branca was named Swift Energy Company’s vice president for exploration and development on February 14, 2008.

Mr. Branca joined Swift Energy in 2006 as exploration manager, subsequently serving as director of exploration and development. He has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with a focus on exploration, production, operations and project development. He spent 25 years with BP in various positions, primarily related to the exploration and development of numerous asset areas of the company.

Mr. Branca has bachelor of science and master of science degrees in geology from the University of Delaware.
