David W. Wesson was named controller of Swift Energy Company on January 1, 2001. Joining the company in 1988, he has held earlier positions as assistant controller–reporting (1999-2000), manager of reporting/budget (1995-1999), manager of corporate accounting/budget (1990-1995), and senior accountant (1988-1990).

Prior to joining Swift Energy, Mr. Wesson was an accountant and financial analyst with Tenneco Oil Exploration & Production. He is a certified public accountant and is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA) and the Houston Chapter of TSCPA. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration in accounting from Texas Tech University in 1981.
