Clyde W. Smith, Jr., has served as a director of Swift Energy Company since 1984. Mr. Smith is president of Ascentron, Inc. He served as president of Somerset Properties, Inc., a real estate investment company from 1985 to 1994, as president of H&R Precision Inc., a general contractor, from 1994 to 1997, and as president of Millennium Technology Services, Inc., an electronics manufacturer based in White City, Oregon, from 1997 to 2001.  Mr. Smith is a certified public accountant.
