To: Recipients of Swift Energy Company Mailings

This letter is written to inform you that Swift Energy Company will no longer be printing and mailing out copies of its quarterly reports to stockholders and other interested parties. Instead, the reports will be available on the Swift Energy Internet web site in both HTML and PDF formats. The web address is: www.swiftenergy.com. 

In making this change, Swift is attempting to provide a high degree of corporate transparency in the most cost-effective manner. As web sites have increasingly become a clearinghouse of relevant and timely information about corporate activities, many companies have elected to discontinue the distribution of printed quarterly reports, thereby eliminating significant printing and mailing expenses.

In addition to electronic versions of the quarterly reports, the Swift web site also includes the Form 10-Qs that Swift files with the Securities and Exchange Commission. These forms are also be available on the SEC web site (www.sec.gov). 

Other material included on Swift's web site include press releases, electronic versions of printed annual reports, Form 10-Ks, links to current reports on Form 8-K, links to webcasts, and a variety of other documents. Visitors to the web site may register to receive periodic e-mail updates concerning new information placed on the web site or they can request to be notified of updates by sending their full name and e-mail address to: updates@swiftenergy.com.
