HOUSTON, December 21, 2006 – Swift Energy Company (NYSE: SFY) announced today that it closed the previously announced acquisition of $20.0 million of interest in a seller's operated wells and acreage to the northeast and southeast of Swift Energy's existing acreage in Lake Washington Field in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana.
