SWIFT ENERGY COMPANY NEWSSWIFT ENERGY NEW ZEALAND ANNOUNCES NEW EXECUTIVE APPOINTMENTHOUSTON, March 3, 2003 - Swift Energy New Zealand (SENZ), a subsidiary of Swift Energy Company (NYSE, PCX: SFY) is pleased to announce that Christopher Bush has been promoted to Vice President—Facilities. Chris joined SENZ in 2001 as Manager of Facilities. Since his hiring, the facilities owned and operated by Swift have grown to include the Waihapa Production Station, acquired in 2002 and the Rimu Production Station, commissioned in 2002. Alan Cunningham, SENZ President and COO commented, “The staff required to operate and maintain these facilities has been recruited and integrated into a unified operating organization under the leadership of Chris. The performance of the facilities team has allowed Swift to steadily increase oil and gas production from our Taranaki fields.
