SWIFT ENERGY COMPANY NEWSSWIFT ENERGY APPOINTS ERNST & YOUNG AS INDEPENDENT PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTSHOUSTON, June 18, 2002 - Swift Energy Company (NYSE: SFY) announced that it has appointed Ernst & Young LLP as its independent public accountants, effective immediately. Swift Energy’s Board of Directors, based on the recommendation of the Board’s Audit Committee, following a thorough review and selection process, made the appointment. Swift has notified the Securities and Exchange Commission of the change through the required filing of a Form 8-K.
