SWIFT ENERGY ANNOUNCES PUBLIC OFFERING OF SENIOR
SUBORDINATED NOTES
HOUSTON, April 2, 2002 - Swift Energy Company (NYSE, PCX: SFY) today announced that it intends to offer and sell $150 million of senior
subordinated notes in a public offering. The offering is expected to be
completed by mid-April 2002. Credit Suisse First Boston, Bank One Capital
Markets, Inc., CIBC World Markets, A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc., Friedman
Billings Ramsey, Jefferies & Company, Inc., JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley and
UBS Warburg will be co-managers of the underwriting syndicate offering the
notes to the public. The Company made a filing today with the Securities and
Exchange Commission relating to this offering, under the Company’s $350
million July 2001 effective shelf registration statement.
Swift Energy Company, founded in 1979, engages in developing, exploring,

and natural gas reserves in Texas and Louisiana and onshore oil and natural
