SWIFT ENERGY THIRD QUARTER EARNINGS
CONFERENCE CALL & WEBCAST

HOUSTON, October 30, 2000 - Swift Energy Company (NYSE, PCX: SFY) has scheduled a conference call and live webcast for Wednesday, November 1st, at 9:00 a.m. Central Standard Time, in conjunction with its release of quarterly earnings information. The Company will review third quarter results, discuss ongoing activities both domestically and in New Zealand as well as provide future guidance.
