SWIFT ENERGY COMPANY NEWSSWIFT ENERGY COMPANY TO OFFER COMMON STOCKHOUSTON, June 22, 1995 - Swift Energy Company (NYSE, PSE: SFY) announced that today it is filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission a registration statement for a proposed public offering of 4,400,000 shares of common stock. The offering is to be managed by Oppenheimer & Co., Inc., Morgan Keegan & Company, Inc. and Southcoast Capital Corporation. Proceeds of the offering will be used to repay outstanding indebtedness, to finance the Company's exploration and development activities (which currently include a large inventory of development drilling prospects), and to acquire strategic producing oil and gas properties, including limited partnership interests. The registration statement includes estimates of the Company's proved reserves updated to May 31, 1995. Based in Houston, Swift Energy Company is a 15-year old independent oil and gas company engaged primarily in the exploration, development, acquisition and operation of oil and gas properties, with an emphasis on domestic natural gas. A registration statement relating to these securities has been filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission but has not yet become effective.
