The Masters Creek Area is one of Swift’s four core areas of domestic operation, the others being the Brookeland Area in East Texas, the Giddings Area along the Texas Gulf Coast, and the AWP Olmos Area in South Texas. In 1999, these core areas accounted for 95% of the Company’s year-end proved reserves and 93% of its production.

As Swift enters the 21st century, it has a solid production base and significant exploration and development potential in each of these core areas, as well as identified exploration prospects in other regions of the United States. In addition, a recent discovery well in New Zealand has opened up new exploration and development potential. This annual report highlights all these areas and points out why Swift Energy is in a strong position to achieve growth in shareholder value in the year 2000 and beyond.
