a development program in the Austin Chalk trend, the teams use sophisticated geological
and geophysical analyses and advanced horizontal drilling technologies to intercept
multiple hydrocarbon-bearing fractures within the relatively narrow formation. |

Swifts teams also apply their combined experience, knowledge, and technological
expertise to exploration and development programs in other Gulf Coast Basin trends, as
well as in the North Louisiana Salt Dome Basin (the Ark-La-Tex region) and the Powder
River Basin in Wyoming. |
International Initiatives The
Company currently is evaluating opportunities in New Zealand, Russia, and Venezuela. In
New Zealand, the evaluation process includes the application of seismic analysis.
