Bloomberg Energy provides on-line prices and commentary for crude oil, refined products, natural gas, and electricity. 
Chicago Mercantile Exchange offers a wide variety of data on futures prices for oil and natural gas.
CNN’s Commodities Page CNN provides on-line information on futures prices on its commodities page. 
Futures Magazine Online offers original news coverage of daily futures prices. 
New York Mercantile Exchange provides updates on its natural gas and oil futures prices throughout the day. 
Energy Companies: Financial Data
CBS MarketWatch offers stock prices, a broad range of business news, and real-time financial information and analysis at no charge. 
EDGAR Online offers several free services, but visitors must subscribe to access some information. Visitors can search the site's database by several criteria, extract the "Financial Data Schedule" and the "Management's Discussion & Analysis" sections of 10-Ks and 10-Qs; view company intelligence from other leading financial information providers, retrieve full text of SEC filings, and access to the complete EDGAR database back to 1994.
Multex Investor provides company reports, quotes, news, price charts, stock screening tools, and industry, sector and company rankings on over 10,000 equities trading on the NYSE, Nasdaq, AMEX, and OTC Bulletin Board.
U.S. Government Energy Data
Fossil.Energy.Gov, the web site of the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Fossil Energy, offers on-line news articles, a searchable database of on-line scientific and technical documents, and information on the Natural Gas and Petroleum Import and Export Office. 
Minerals Management Service, a bureau of the U.S. Department of the Interior, offers on-line resources such as the Geospatial Data Clearinghouse, the full text of select technical reports on oil and natural gas topics, and an on-site search engine. 
U.S. Department of Energy includes links to the department’s resources, a directory of contacts, and news releases. 
U.S. Energy Information Administration offers a broad range of online energy information, including databases and reports on supply, demand, and prices of oil, natural gas, coal, nuclear, and hydroelectric energy. The full text of publications such as the Monthly Energy Review, the Annual Energy Review, the Annual Energy Outlook, the International Energy Outlook, the Short-Term Energy Outlook, and Natural Gas: Issues and Trends are on line. 
U.S. Geological Survey. The sole science agency of the Department of Interior, the USGS serves as an independent fact-finding agency that collects, monitors, analyzes, and provides scientific understanding about natural resource conditions, issues, and problems.
 
International Energy Data
International Energy Agency (IEA), which is an autonomous agency associated with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, publishes reports on world demand, supply, and prices for oil and natural gas.
Organization for Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) offers news releases, listings of its publications, and a directory of members at its web site.
U.S. Energy Information Administration offers on line the full texts of its annual reports on international energy trends, including supply, demand, and prices. EIA's international publications include the International Energy Outlook and the International Energy Annual. 
World Petroleum Congresses regularly holds forums for discussing the issues facing the oil industry on a worldwide basis.
