HOUSTON, May 12, 2010 –  Swift Energy Company (NYSE: SFY) announced today that Greg Matiuk and Bruce H. Vincent were re-elected to serve three-year terms on Swift Energy Company’s Board of Directors at its annual meeting of shareholders held Tuesday, May 11, 2010.
 
 Additional proposals approved by Swift Energy shareholders at the meeting were amending the Swift Energy Company 2005 Stock Compensation Plan to increase the number of shares of the Company’s common stock available for awards under the plan and ratifying Ernst & Young, LLP as Swift Energy’s independent auditor.
