Excluding its New Zealand activities, which are being discontinued after a recent agreement to sell its New Zealand properties, the company has increased its domestic proved reserves at a compounded five-year growth rate of 6% per year, and in 2007, it increased its year-end domestic proved reserves by 13% from the previous year-end to approximately 134 million barrels of oil equivalent (MMBoe). Because the company has been able to build a high-quality portfolio of oil and gas reserves during a period of tight supplies, it has achieved five-year compounded growth rates of approximately 13% per year in domestic production, with a production of 10.6 MMBoe in 2007.
