Robert J. Banks
Interim Chief Executive Officer, Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer
Robert J. Banks was appointed interim Chief Executive Officer of the Company on October 7th, 2016.

Mr. Banks was appointed executive vice president and chief operating officer of Swift Energy on February 14, 2008. In an earlier position which he assumed on May 11, 2006, he served as Swift Energy’s vice president for international operations and strategic ventures. He joined Swift on February 9, 2004, as vice president of international operations of the company’s wholly owned subsidiary, Swift Energy International, LLC.

Mr. Banks has approximately 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, both domestically and internationally. He has held senior-level positions at Santa Fe International Corporation, Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Company, Mosbacher Energy Company and, just prior to joining Swift, Vanco Energy Company where he was executive vice president of operations.
Alton D. Heckaman Jr.
Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Alton D. Heckaman, Jr., is executive vice president and chief financial officer of Swift Energy Company, positions to which he was appointed on November 8, 2004.

In previous positions, Mr. Heckaman has served as the company's senior vice president and chief financial officer (2000-2004), as vice president–finance (1992-2000), as assistant vice president–finance (1986-1992), as controller (1986-2000), and as manager of accounting (1982-1986).

Prior to joining Swift Energy in 1982, Mr. Heckaman was employed by the international accounting firm of Deloitte, Haskins & Sells and by Czar Resources, Inc., an independent oil and gas company.

Mr. Heckaman is a certified public accountant and holds a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from Lamar University and a master's degree in business administration from Texas A&M University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA), and the Houston Chapter of TSCPA, as well as other industry and professional organizations. He also serves as a director on the Board of Advisors for the Lamar University College of Business.
Randy A. Bailey
Vice President – Operations
Randy A. Bailey was named Swift Energy’s vice president of operations on April 1, 2015. He oversees drilling, procurement & supply chain management, production operations and facilities & construction. In an earlier position which he assumed on December 16, 2009, he served as Swift Energy’s vice president of production. He joined Swift Energy in 2008 as director of production.

Mr. Bailey has over 30 years of experience in production operations. He began his career with Conoco and spent 11 years with Transco Exploration Company. Prior to joining Swift, he served as vice president of Texas American Resources, a small independent operator, and earlier as senior vice president of Torch Energy Advisors, where he managed all domestic and international operations and oversaw the growth of the company from 200 employees to more than 700.

Mr. Bailey is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the American Petroleum Institute. He has served as a member of the API Production Safety Committee and also as a member of the board of the Western States Petroleum Association. He received a bachelor of science degree in geological engineering from Michigan Technological University in 1978.
Michael S. Coffield
Vice President - Transactions, Land & Business Development
Michael S. Coffield was named Swift Energy's Vice President for Transactions, Land and Business Development on April 1, 2015.

Mr. Coffield joined Swift Energy as Corporate Manager for Business Development and Transactions in 2013, and on April 1, 2014, he was appointed Vice President for Land and Business Development.

Mr. Coffield's experience includes general management for exploration, production and development, joint venture negotiations, asset and corporate acquisitions and divestitures, business development, and land management. Prior to joining Swift Energy, he held executive positions in areas of increasing responsibility with several companies, including Samson Investment Company, and Amoco Corporation.

Mr. Coffield holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Petroleum Land Management from The University of Texas at Austin, and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Rice University.

He is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Landmen, the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, the Geological Society of London, and is past President of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators.
Stephen P. Schmitt
Vice President – Energy Marketing
Stephen P. Schmitt was named Swift Energy’s vice president of energy marketing on June 26, 2011.

Mr. Schmitt joined Swift Energy in 2002 as director of energy marketing. He has over 31 years of experience in the oil and gas industry in the areas of pipeline commercial agreements, commodity marketing and trading, and energy finance. Prior to joining Swift Energy, he held several positions with Getty Oil Company, Coastal Corporation and El Paso Corporation.

Mr. Schmitt received a bachelor of business administration in accounting from Texas State University and a masters of business administration from the University of Houston.
Steven B. Yakle
Vice President – Corporate Administration
Steven B. Yakle was appointed vice president-corporate administration of Swift Energy on November 1, 2007. The departments reporting to his office are Human Resources/Employee Relations, Corporate Services, Records Management and Information Technology.

Mr. Yakle joined Swift Energy in August 1989, serving first as manager of partnership accounting and later as assistant controller for compliance, with responsibilities for both corporate and partnership reporting. He transferred to New Zealand in 2001, serving as vice president-finance and chief financial officer for Swift’s wholly owned subsidiary Swift Energy New Zealand, remaining there until he returned to Swift Energy’s corporate offices in February 2006.

Before joining Swift Energy, Mr. Yakle worked for Goldking Production Company and the Internal Revenue Service. A certified public accountant, he graduated from Wichita State University in 1978 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Christopher M. Abundis
Vice President - General Counsel and Secretary
Christopher M. Abundis was named Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Swift Energy Company on April 18, 2016. Since joining Swift Energy in 2005, he has provided legal consultation in corporate governance, securities law and other corporate related matters. Mr. Abundis has served the Board of Directors as Secretary since 2012.

Mr. Abundis received bachelor of business administration and master of science degrees in accounting from Texas A&M University in 2001 and a juris doctor degree from South Texas College of Law in 2005. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Association of Corporate Counsel and the Society of Corporate Secretaries & Governance Professionals.
